Riggs and Georgie has 13 beautiful black labrador puppies late Wednesday thru Thursday morning. I think we have 7 boys and 6 girls. They are very fat and large as you expect from Riggs and Georgie. My Dad's mother Bea died Thursday Dec 18th, 2008. Beth and I immediately packed up and drove down to Tallahasse, Fl. Meemaw's husband Horace, Poppops, to the grand children is still kicking it. Poppops has 8 grandchildren and now 10 great grandchildren. Walker is being held but my sister's sons Jordan and JAred.

Walker went to the Dr for his 4 month check up. He is in the 95th percentile for weight and 96th percentile for height. Also, the Dr said we could start feeding him vegetables. Nice. My new cologne will be creamed spinach. Late.

My parents came down last weekend to watch Walker while I took my Dad to his first UT vs Auburn Football Game in Auburn. We left pretty Early Saturday morning but we got a great parking spot minutes from the stadium. Pics are from my Dad and I chillin, my Father-in-law and his cousin and us in our seats, and views from our season ticket seats. We got home at 945 and were very tired.

We head to the Dr. today. I think she is planning on doing an ultrasound for measurements, i.e. how big is he. Beth is not sleeping as good as she was before, but she says she is sleeping better than her friends who have been pregnant. Thank goodness for the Select Comfort Mattress we bought a couple years ago. Sweet bed.

Oh Yea. The dogs are doing well. They sleep under the deck all night then I feed them around 830 and they go wild till midnight. I hate summer because the dogs are the loudest at night. Hopefully Georgie will be going into heat around the end of August. Christmas puppies, Oh Yea.

Beth's 35th Week Update:

Beth is doing great. Not traveling to Braves games has helped her a lot. Walker is moving more and is growing. I know nothing new but hey at least I blog. LOL Walker had hiccups last night. I guess Cake and Pasta equals GAS.

Softball:

Played softball for my old company. I called a friend Stacy http://michigancutie.blogspot.com/ to play and she did awesome. She had 3 RBIS and made a good catch for an out at second.

Shower:

Beth had a Shower at her family's Church in Arab Saturday Night. Thanks to Betty, Darla, and April for throwing a great shower. My Mom and my Sister came down to look at Walker's Nursery and to attend the shower. The ladies played 2 games. The 1st game was a relay game where the ladies blew up a balloon and placed the balloon i.e the baby under their shirt and then delivered the baby i.e popped the ballon. Beth's team with her sister, mom, and my sister won. The next game was a timed event where the ladies held a baby, talked on the phone, and placed clothes on a drier line. Beth came in 2nd, Atta girl. Beth received a lot if presents and the cake looked great.

Niece:

My niece Emma is one special little lady. She is the only granddaughter/daughter on three sides. Beth's Sister is Emma's Mom and she also has twins baby brothers Andrew and Avery. Beth's Sister's Husband's Sister has 3 boys. And my Sister has two boys. Now Beth and I are expecting Walker. So 1 girl out of 6 boys. She is the boss. Attached is a picture of Emma at the shower and sitting in Walker's new Chair. Emma loves Auburn Football and her Uncle Jeff. My Mother is dying for a little granddaughter and my sister would probably move to our house if our next child is a girl.

Beth is feeling more tired each week. The baby is moving and growing. I am predicting aboput 2 weeks early.

The Shower at our church for Beth and the baby was awesome. We were so blessed with so many beautiful things. Beth and both of our families were awestruck with the amount of attendees and presents. Beth's mom and Sister attended as well as my parents.

Thursday Beth and I went went to the Braves game with the Shep's. Braves lost but it was nice to sleep in at the Westin in Atlanta. Friday we went to Beth's Parents house for dinner and fireworks our little niece shot off. Late

Gene Stallings is a nice guy

I attended the University of Alabama for my Freshman year. Gene Stallings was the coach who just won the Football National Championship the previous year; his first year as head coach. It is well known that Gene is a member of the Church of Christ. Well on my flight home from Dallas on Friday, Gene and I sat next to each other in 1st Class. He was real nice to everyone that hounded him for an autograph and picture. I read my book about how to be a good father for most of the flight and Gene spoke to people on the plane. When we landed I asked him if he would sign my book for my son Walker. I told Gene that we were expecting in August and he was impressed that I was trying to be a good dad. Gene signed a nice note to Walker and graciously thanked me for not bothering him during the flight. Sounds like a bunch of Alabama fans are a little over zealous when they meet Gene. Gene and I walked down the ramp from the plane to the Airport where we were greeted by Huntsville Mayor Spencer and her associates. Gene again thanked me and shook my hand. I left with a very good impression of Mr. Stallings. He was very nice and cordial to everyone. While I was looking for my keys in my carry-on bag, an apparent Alabama fan came up to me in the airport and asked if I was sitting next to Gene Stallings on the plane. I concurred and the fan let out a little yelp and said cool, then the guy continued his cell phone conversation to someone that indeed Gene was on his plane. Gotta love Bama Fans.

Finally done with Kitchen Remodel

Got the Granite from Southern Stone, thanks Jon; and the travertine tile was specially ordered from Lowes. I burned out a tile saw blade and a couple of sponges and some skin. Had to get a new sink and faucet. The kitchen is finally done.

24th Week and New Mower

Most important first; the new mower, just kidding. Beth is doing great. We are heading for our 6 month checkup Tuesday afternoon. It is hard to believe we are down to 3 months and counting. We have decided to hire a subcontractor to paint and add the chair rail to the nursery. Beth helped me paint some crown molding we put up in our 1st home but chemicals are now a no no for pregnancies. So we have to find a good sub to make Walker's room pretty. We had to the Dr tomorrow for a quick checkup.

Update on our kitchen remodel. The 81 Travertine Tiles are finally installed. I am beat. I burned out my Tile Wet Saw Blade on Sunday on the last cut. I will clean off the tile tonight and install the grout tomorrow before my softball game. Finally after 5 weeks our remodel will be done.

Our new mower is awesome. A John Deere LX255 with a bagger is so sweet. We have multiple people wanting to buy our old mower tonight. I probably will mow the grass alot more now, Beth will be happy. LOL

21st and 22nd week update

I went out of town twice last week for government business. Beth stayed at the house with a guard dog inside, Pheobe and Georgie, LOL. We then headed to Nashville for my Mom's Birthday on Friday night and to watch my oldest nephew play in a baseball tourney. Sunday morning Beth and I left for our annual anniversary vacation. This year we could not go to Hawaii due to Beth's sister expecting to deliver her twin boys very shortly. So we went to LA and had a blast. Went to a romantic dinner on Redondo Beach Sunday Night. Then we went to Hollywood, downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive for shopping, then to a Dodgers Game Monday. Tuesday we headed down the Pacific Coast Highway for beach day. Then we headed back up to LA on the 5 and 405. Traffic out there is wild. Wednesday morning we headed to LAX Airport at 0330 Hrs for our flight back to HSV. Beth's sister as previously mentioned was scheduled to have a C-section on Wednesday at 1100. We got to the hospital about 45 minutes after the boys were taken to see their MOM. The twins are very cute and healthy.

The whole Family traveled to Florida last week for my Granddad's 85th Birthday. It was great to see the family and I played golf a lot. We stopped by a Florida State Store to buy a infant Seminole Outfit for the baby. Beth had already bought an Auburn outfit and you can't get FSU stuff in Huntsvegas. We still have to buy a infant outfit for the Vols, Titans, Braves, Patriots, and Yankees. Sure alot of sports outfits LOL.

We got our granite counter tops installed by Southern Stone on Thursday. Thanks Jon. They look awesome. I installed a ceramic back splash around the sink and faucet when we got back from Florida Sunday night. I have to grout on Monday and install the new faucet. I also added some more decorative tile above the Guest Bathroom's Shower. We donated the old counter tops, sink, faucet, and a dresser to Habitat for Humanity. Tax Deductions baby, yea.

My Dad's side of the Family is growing very quickly. My younger cousin Aaron and his wife Kristin had a baby girl in December. My other cousin Tracy and her her husband Michael are having a girl in April. My other cousin Robert and his newlywed wife Genny our having a girl in July, and my other cousin Amy and her husband Jason are having their 3rd child in September sometime. Plus Beth's older sister Becky is due to deliver their twin boys in April. LOL Beth is up and down but with more ups than downs. Vacation to Florida for my Grandfather's 85th Bday is this weekend. We went to Beth's Doctor yesterday and everything looked great. Heart beat was exactly 150 bpm just like the last visit. The Doctor asked how big were we as babies; Beth was around 7 1/2 lbs and I was around 8 something. We were both early. The doctor said Beth is carrying a very big baby. LOL Beth did not want to hear that at all. We go for the 20 week checkup on April 1st. Hopefully the baby will cooperate so we can determine the sex of our baby. I am thinking girl because I was a little wild in my early years. Beth hopes for a girl because she does not think she could handle two men in her life. Just imagine the grocery bills. Late.

Everything went fine. Heard the baby's heartbeat, around 150 bpm. Beth has lost 3 lbs. I guess eating only spicy chicken wings is a good diet to be on. We head back in 4 weeks for our 16th week checkup. Beth is slowly recovering from the cold I passed on to her. outta here.

Beth is still sick. Some days are worst than others. I started my yearly cutting diet and lost 18 pounds this week. Sunday was cheat day but I got sick Saturday night and I did not feel up to eating at all. We head to Beth's Doctor tomorrow.

Beth is still sick in the morning but evenings are better. My belly is still way bigger than her's. Next week we head for the 12 week check-up.

Beth is pregnant. Beth and I were ready to start a family this Winter. We were blessed by God with a baby in December. Beth had Christmas ornaments made and we gave them to our Mothers on Christmas. The ornaments were wrapped and mixed in with the Mom's other gifts. My mom immediately started crying and the whole family was excited. Beth's Mom did not get the meaning until Beth had to explain it to her. I think Beth's Mom is part Blonde. LOL
